This type of transport is especially important in the northern regions: when roads freeze or are covered with snow, car traffic stops; the only way to travel is by helicopter. Tourism is also an area where helicopters are in high demand. This is the delivery of passengers to islands, to mountains – to places where it is difficult or impossible to get by car. Helicopters are necessary for scientific activity. They help to conduct various types of studies: geological, forestry, aquatic, agricultural and even archaeological. They help study wild animals, supervise pipelines and power lines, monitor the situation on roads and at borders.
